Aspiration of Kuntu Zangpo
By: Tai Situ Rinpoche
Our Price: $28.00

The aspiration of Kuntu Zangpo, the prayer of the Primordial Buddha, is one of the deepest and most profound Buddhist texts. It is also a prayer of aspiration on the path of awakening to the true nature of reality. It expresses the different forms in which primordial awareness appears and helps us to understand that it is only our clouded understanding that makes things appear as other than they really are.

Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpas line by line teaching is based on the commentary by the 15th Gyalwa Karmapa.

Awakening the Sleeping Buddha
By: Tai Situpa, the 12th
Our Price: $17.95
Members Price: $16.16

The most basic, clear principles of Tibetan Buddhism are here lucidly presented by a renowned modern teacher and monk. Tai Situ illuminates Buddhist teachings in commonsense terms, using down-to-earth examples- making this is a perfect handbook for beginners as well as an excellent companion for long-time students.
"Buddhism can appear so complicated and vast that it seems even a lifetime of study would not be sufficient to get to the bottom of it. That is how it is, from one perspective-at least until the ultimate goal of enlightenment is reached. On the other hand, Buddhism can be very simple, dissolving mysteries and complications easily with commonsense truths. Buddhism, in fact , encompasses both these extremes, although the foundation of Buddhist philosophy and practice rests on a few clear principles."

This prayer was written by Benkar Jampal Zangpo and somewhat represents the teachings and the gurus of the Dagpo Kagyu. This prayer can be divided roughly into two parts: to whom you are praying and; the essence of the prayer, which includes verses on turning the mind away from samsara, devotion and aspiration, non-distraction and insight meditation. The second half of the book is a teaching on the guru-disciple relationship, which covers the importance of a guru, four types of guru, the qualities of a guru. There is also a very good question and answer session.

Our Price: $20.00

Gampopa's teachings can be summarized into four ways or particulars of
how a practitioner gradually progresses, as well as what it really takes
for a dharma practitioner who has the aspiration to really become a
successful dharma practitioner and get closer to realization. This is
known as Dhakpo cho jye, which means something like four dharmas of
Gampopa or four teachings of Gampopa. The first teaching is our mind
turns towards the dharma, the second, our dharma practice is without
obstacle, then the third, the path, the practice of dharma is to clear
delusion or illusion. Then the last or conclusion of the four teachings
is delusion dawns as wisdom.

Praises & Prostrations to the Twenty-one Taras
By: Tai Situ Rinpoche
Our Price: $24.95
Members Price: $22.46

Born from a tear drop of Chenrezig, and a vow to be a mother to serve all sentient beings until they reach Buddhahood, the female bodhisattva Green Tara is one of the most well known and practiced figures in Tibetan Buddhism.

The twenty-one manifestations of Green Tara each represent a certain aspect of sentient beings' fear and suffering in order that people can pray and honour Tara for protection and liberation from different fears. While Tara's relative blessing is protection from fear and suffering the ultimate blessing is to become Tara.
Written by Buddha Vairochana, a very well known and well-practiced Tara praise is the 'Praises and Prostrations to the Twenty-one Taras'. Contained herein is a detailed commentary on this by Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa. Rinpoche goes through each of the twenty-one Taras, describing how each appears and what fears they protect from.

By: Tai Situ Rinpoche
Our Price: $12.95

The wisdom of Mahayana Buddhism reveals ways to experience and utilize the powers of the universe. The Buddha taught about ten aspects of knowledge-normal worldly activities through which the ordinary person could achieve understanding and realization. In Relative World, Ultimate Mind, Tai Situpa describes these activities, which encompass medicine, psychology, astrology and the creative arts, and explains how they can become an essential part of anyone's spiritual path. Using examples from Buddhist teachings as well as everyday life, the author show how the first nine aspects of knowledge cover all avenues of 'right livelihood', leading to the tenth and most advanced aspect of knowledge, inner truth.
