The book presents a comprehensive study of Buddhist Sculptural art of Pagan in Myanmar considering Buddhist iconography and pictorial representations of events from Buddha`s life and Jatakas. The book discusses briefly about the development of Buddhist sculptural art in Myanmar from the times of its inception and gives a broader description of Buddhist iconography and life scenes from life of Buddha at Pagan. The Buddhist monuments of Pagan primarily constructed between eleventh to fourteenth centuries AD gives us a good glimpse of conjuncture of various artistic styles reflected in Buddhist sculptural art of Pagan.
