It not only includes Buddha images, Bodhisattva images, Buddhist deities, donor images, and reliefs of the life of Shakyamuni, but also various examples of Buddhist craft works in gold, silver, and bronze. This collection has been built over many years both as research material and as documentation of a unique and extraordinarily beautiful style of art by renowned Japanese artist Ikuo Hirayama and his wife Michigo Hirayama.
