Description About the author   Green Tara, Great Mother & Liberator It is said that Green Tara was emanated from the tears of compassion of Chenrezik. She is known as the Great Mother and Great Liberator of beings from samsara. Green in color, she is associated with Amoghasiddhi, the Karma family, the wind element and also with motion. Her special attributes are her speed and ability to protect beings from fears and dangers. She is depicted with her left foot withdrawn symbolizing her renunciation of worldly passion and with her right foot stepping from her lotus throne in order to help sentient beings.
