Moon Incense is a kind of famous Chinese historic incense and was first made by Xu Xuan, a famous litterateur of Song Dynasty (960-1279 A.D.). Xu Xuan liked incense and he was good at making it. When it was moonlight nights, he would like sit in the backyard and light the incense to admire the moon. He named this incense "Moon Incense."
