Lady Huarui was a high-ranking imperial concubine of
Meng Chang, Emperor of Hou Shu in Five Dynasties
(934-965 A.D.). She was famous for dazzling beauty
and versed in both civil and military affairs, she was
also a well-know poet and wrote hundreds of poems.
She believed in Buddhism and Lady Huarui Incense
was first made by her and handed down to generations.
