Mahabodhisattva Avalokiteshvara
This rare and beautiful image of the Great Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara was printed in the 15th century by rGyal-sras Rig-'dzin Tshe-dbang Gragspa, son of the great Terma master Ratna Gling-pa. Seated on a lotus at the center of the mandala, Green Tara is ever ready to respond to the suffering of beings afflicted with emotional obscurations. Arrayed around the mother of mercy are her twenty-one manifestations.
