Teachings on the Six Bardos
"Death isn't just something that happens on one particular day. Death is happening constantly, and that's why this teaching is called 'living with death and dying', because that's what is means. In our situation birth and death are co-existent, they always go together. It's like we are living and dying at the same time.
Generally people fear death and try to hide from it or ignore it. But if you become more familiar with death, it becomes more friendly, or more part of your life: death is no longer a stranger. When you accept death, you can prepare for it. So in this way, acceptance becomes more useful and positive, and that's really the challenge or the important part."
