It's not supposed to be translated! |

The great Mahakala sadhana, one of the core practices of the Karma Kagyu lineage, is restricted to qualified students, who have been empowered to practice it by an authentic lineage holder. This sadhana is used extensively during the three-year retreat, and it is in retreat that one receives the complete teaching, including the meaning of the text. Because of the esoteric nature of the meaning, it is not appropriate to translate the text for the pubic, as it could lead to a great deal of confusion and even harm. For the above reasons, no translation is given within the sadhana itself. If you are interested in learning more about the Mahakala practice, consult a qualified lama.

Having bought 10 to 12 puja texts from Namsebangdzo over the years and all with English translations I was very disappointed to discover the Mahakala puja didn't have a translation.
