Om Muni Muni Maha Muni
"Seated on a lion throne, Shakyamuni Buddha holds his right hand in the earth-touching mudra. With this gesture he called upon the earth to witness his lifetimes dedicated to attaining enlightenment for the benefit of all beings and triumphed over Mara, Lord of Illusion.
Arching around the Buddha are scenes from his life, beginning with his birth at lower left, and culminating with his parinirvana. Offerings at a sacred stupa, symbol of Dharmakaya, embodies the ineffable quality of enlightenment that remains accessible to us today.
Directly in front of the Buddha are offerings of precious substances and a medicine bowl with lotuses in colors associated with the three manifestations of enlightened being and the three vehicles to enlightenment. Below and beside the throne are Arhats, Bodhisattvas, and deities." -back description
