Pure white in color, arrayed in the Bodhisattva's golden ornaments, and seated on a cosmic lotus topped by the disks of sun and moon, White Tara holds her left hand in the Vitarkamudra, the gesture of logical discourse. With her right hand, extended in the Varada mudra, she offers the heart-opening gift of understanding and mercy.
