Description   His Eminence Tai Situ Rinpoche gives a commentary on a text by the 12th century master Gampopa. Gampopa who was a student of Milarepa and teacher of the first Karmapa, combined monastic discipline with the tantric tradition to establish the Kagyu lineage in its modern form. The text gives an overview of the Buddhist path. The root verses are: "May my mind turn to the Dharma. May Dharma follow the path. May delusion be cleared on the path. May confusion dawn as wisdom." Turning the mind to Dharma begins with taking refuge in Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. To make sure one's practice does not deviate from the path, it is important to practice bodhicitta, the mind of loving-kindness and compassion. Proper practice will clear up delusions of worldly life and misinterpretations of the path itself. The end of the path is recognizing primordial wisdom, symbolized by the Buddha Vajradhara.
