"We are happy to present to the scholarly world the selected papers of the International Seminar on "Buddhist Texts and Traditions" jointly organized by the Department of Pali, Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly known as the University of Pune), the Central University of Tibetan Studies, Sarnath and the Nava Nalanda Mahavihara, Nalanda, from 21st to 23rd December, 2009. The Seminar focussed on the interrelation between Buddhist texts and different Buddhist traditions. Twenty-nine scholars from the different parts of the world participated in this Seminar.
