Description   Jetavana Monastery, built for Buddha Shakyamuni and his sangha, near the town of Shravasti in Kaushala by the merchant Sudatta (Anathapindika) and prince Jeta. It was a favourite place of the Buddha's, and he spent nineteen rain-retreats (vassa) there.
