A vertical stroke, written at the beginning and end of a sentence in Tibetan text. A double "shad" is somtimes used at the end of large section of the text and or at the end of the text.
No "shad" is used after the letter "ga". When a "shad" is used most of the time no dot (tsheg) is written, except after the letter "nga."
