Description   After viewing this film, you can really feel an inner calm and peace, like you are resting in the nature of mind. This would not be so if the film had not been made from pure intention and with countless blessings. This film has exactly these qualities. The director, Susan M. Griffith Jones took refuge with His Eminence Chogye Trichen Rinpoche of the Tibetan Buddhist Sakya tradition. She moved to Nepal in 2001 to make a film about the Holy Dharma. Since that time, she practised listening, reflection and meditation in order to realise that Dharma. Under the guidance and with the blessings of her Root Guru, it took her 6 years to complete the film, until 2007 when His Eminence Chogye Trichen Rinpoche passed into Paranirvana. Indeed, it was during the 16 days of Rinpoche's Thukdam or post-death meditational state that the final editing took place. Due to the coming together of various causes and conditions and certain realisations that happened within those years, Susan wished to express the profound Dharma in this film by focussing on the state of immortality, our natural state of mind beyond concepts, birth and death. The visuals of the film were taken in 3 principal sacred places in Nepal, including Lumbini - the birthplace of Lord Buddha, Maratika - where Guru Rinpoche did extensive long life practise and reached the state of deathlessness and Muktinath - a place high in the Himalayan mountains that Guru Rinpoche visited on his way to Tibet, also known as the Place of Salvation. His Eminence Chogye Trichen Rinpoche once told Susan that the sacred places mentioned above are extraordinary and anyone who merely sees these places whilst even watching a film will automatically purify aeons of negative karma. This then became Susan's driving motivation to reach as many people as possible with these visuals. To these words, Rinpoche added that most importantly one should find the precious nature of mind within one's own mind and rest in that realisation.
