"Compassion + Wisdom = Happiness offers a method by which we may attain happiness. True happiness results from the marriage of compassion and wisdom and from their manifestations in action-through mind, body, and speech. Just as 1 + 1 = 2, so compassion + wisdom = happiness. The cultivation of compassion and evolution of wisdom require effort through which we may achieve maximum satisfaction and true happiness in this life. I commend followers of the Buddha to become 21st century Buddhists. This means reading or listening to the teaching, trying to understand it and integrating it within ourselves. This is what Yeshi Lhundup has done and this book is his attempt to share with others what he has learned. I congratulate him on his effort."
--His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama
Compassion + Wisdom = Happiness, Yeshi Lhundup, Tibet World, Paperback, 118 pp, $14.00
Mr. Yeshi Lhundup was born into a nomadic yak-herding family in Tibet in 1983. Thirteen years later, he and his brother escaped the brutal Chinese occupation of Tibet in a dangerous two-month winter journey through the Himalayas to India. He was the general secretary of some Tibet NGOs and is founder and director of Tibet World, an NGO where "Tibet meets the world, and the world meets Tibet." Tibet World's mission is to provide a platform for promoting education, raising cultural awareness, and imparting Tibetan values to the world by inspiring people to initiate peace, harmony, and compassion. Mr. Yeshi Lhundrup has been giving popular workshops on Compassion + Wisdom = Happiness since 2018.
