Geshe Jampa Kunchog is an American Buddhist monk who has studied in Sera Jey Monastery for over twenty years. He is a student of the well-known Sera Jey Geshe, Geshe Ngawang Dhargey. Upon finishing his studies and returning to the West, Geshe Jampa established Scholastic Institute Chokyi Gyaltsen (SICGU). The goal of SICGU is to promote and preserve Tibetan Buddhism as it has been traditionally taught for hundreds of years in the Tibetan tradition. The background in both, Western culture and formal Buddhist training, gives Geshe la a very unique combination of scholarly knowledge and practical advice.
