Dr. Daniel L. Araoz was born on April 23, 1930 in Buenos Aries, Argentina. He came to New York in 1951 as a young Jesuit. He was ordained into the priesthood in 1950 and five years later, left the priesthood. He married and had two children. Dr Araoz obtained a doctorate degree from Columbia University in Family Therapy. He was employed as a professor at Long Island University where he taught Graduate students in the master�s degree counseling program until his retirement in 2012. During his career, he wrote hundreds of articles and published 13 books on the �New Hypnosis� and other psychoanalytically related topics. Dr. Araoz worked for other universities and learning institutions as well as maintain a private practice until 2019.
