Spreading Supreme Wisdom: Concise Explanation and Commentary on the Supplication Prayer to Lord Tapihritsa, Mind Emanation of Kuntu Zangpo is one of the most important written works of Chyabje Yongdzin Lopon Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche because it reveals the profound meaning behind the Prayer to the Great Master Tapihritsa. This pivotal prayer in the Dzogpa Chenpo Zhang Zhung Nyengyu cycle was uttered by Gyerpung Nangzher Lodpo during his first encounter with Tapihritsa.
This text is also special because it is the only commentary Yongdzin Rinpoche wrote on Dzogchen.
Yongdzin Rinpoche never taught this text in the West himself, so when our Foundation was organising our first retreat with Gomdra Khenpo Tsultrim Tenzin in Italy in 2024, we requested him to teach on Spreading Supreme Wisdom.
To set the scene for the encounter of Gyerpung Nangzher Lodpo with Tapihritsa during which this prayer was uttered, we have also included the story of this first meeting as told so wonderfully by Yongdzin Rinpoche in Blanc, France, 2002.
